Through interviews and investigation, it was determined that the client was overcharged and that the State lacked the witnesses to back up the allegations and charges. The jury was convinced and made the right decision that reasonable doubt did exist. The trial revealed that the States case had significant holes. If convicted, the client was facing a number of years in prison.
